Implementing 21st Century technology and teaching. One of the main barriers is the varying definition of what a 21st Century classrooms includes and whether the inclusion of technology has a positive impact on instruction. The cost associated with providing technology infused classrooms many times leads to the quick negative views especially when scaling the approach to an entire school. The teachers in the classroom are shown to be the largest positive influence on a student’s achievement so schools must provide appropriate and sustained profession learning in implementing the technology strategies.
